An Abundance of Abundance

With my mental state being a bit in flux as of late, I find myself scouring the recesses of my mind for some of the items that I’ve added to my toolkit over these past years of doing self-work. One of the items that keeps popping to front of mind is the power of attraction. Now this may be a divisive subject for some people. I am not here to proselytize on the matter – I’m not here to convince you that what I’m saying is 100% true, or that if you suddenly start to think you’re going to win a million dollars in the lottery that you’re going to win a million dollars in the lottery. I’m just here to talk about energy, positivity, attraction and abundance.

Tick Tock

I’ve had a lot of moments of solitude and quiet over the past few weeks and months. Between Isabelle being back on the road for work and being gone for a day or two from time to time, to our wonderful bouts of stomach flu for our anniversary, I’ve had plenty of time for contemplation. It was during one of these moments of solitude that a thought crossed my mind for the first time, and it caused some consternation on my part. It was the realization that the hourglass of my life was now lighter on the top than on the bottom.

A Phased Approach

Following up on my last blog post, I wanted to expand on one of the realizations that have recently come to me. As I mentioned previously, I’ve recently restarted a self-development program called Reset. Over the course of 16 weeks, our coach, François Lemay, gradually introduces various concepts and exercises to help us transform our lives. This is now the fourth time I’ve participated in the program, yet it is like an entirely new program each time I take it.

As François’ understanding of the world evolves, so does the Reset program. This year, he has introduced the concept of energy phases – this is what I wanted to discuss today.

Manifesting Your Dreams

One year ago yesterday, I was starting in a new role with my employer. I’d spent the better part of the previous 8 years in leadership roles and felt it was time for a change. As luck would have it, my Director had a new role being created and I was one of the lucky candidates who moved into this still-undefined role.

Flash forward a year. While I wasn’t disliking my job, I wasn’t fully loving it either. I had a lot of freedom in the role – I didn’t have any direct reports, but also didn’t have any daily tasks that kept me at my desk Monday to Friday. It helped stretch my capacities and gave me a chance to develop and grow.

Signs & Synchronicity

I’ve always believed that the Universe provides us signs; that is, if we’re willing to look for them. As I’ve continued on my growth journey these past years, I’ve become more attuned to the messages that are being directed to me. In more recent weeks, I’ve embarked on a self-help program (for lack of better terms) with a view of resetting myself. How fitting then that the program is called Reset?

As part of the program, I am meditating regularly, writing out gratitudes daily, looking for patterns in my behaviour and seeing if I’m activating and following my values. While I’ve always considered myself an observer, I’m being much more heedful of myself and my surroundings as I work through the process. As a result, I’ve started noticing more signs, messages and synchronicities presenting themselves.
